What Congruently does

Congruently is a browser extension that reads captions generated by your video conferencing platform (Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams) and provides real-time coaching suggestions.

Data that stays on your device

• Coaching history — stored in your browser's local storage only
• Your preferences — mind selection, settings, stored locally
• Memory and context — anything you type into the chat input stays in your browser

Data sent to third parties

When coaching is active, caption text from your meeting is sent to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) to generate coaching suggestions. This is the core functionality of the product.

What's sent: Recent caption text (including speaker names as they appear in captions), your selected mind/coaching style, and any context you've typed.

What's NOT sent: Your email, meeting title, audio, video, or screen content.

How it's sent: Unless you use your own API key (see BYOK below), caption data is routed through a Congruently-operated proxy on Cloudflare Workers before reaching the AI provider. The proxy handles authentication and does not log or store caption content.

AI provider data policies: Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google do not train on API inputs. See each provider's privacy policy for details.

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) users

If you use your own API key, caption data is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider. It does not pass through the Congruently proxy.

Account data

During beta, we collect an email address for verification and beta access. This email is stored on Cloudflare Workers KV and is used only for:

• Verifying your beta access
• Sending important product updates (rarely)

We will never sell your email or share it with third parties.

Debrief summaries

After a meeting, Congruently can generate a debrief summary of coaching moments. This is generated by sending accumulated coaching data to the AI provider. The debrief is displayed in your browser and stored locally. We don't have access to it.

Analytics

We do not use any analytics or tracking in the extension. No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no telemetry.

Data deletion

Your coaching data lives in your browser's local storage. Clear it or uninstall the extension and it's gone. To delete your email from our beta list, email Congruentlyapp@gmail.com and we'll remove it immediately.

Children's privacy

Congruently is not designed for use by anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything changes. During beta, the product is evolving and this policy will evolve with it. We'll always err on the side of less data, not more.
